Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares: ISO "Hot" Restaurateurs

Chef Gordon Ramsay stoops lower still... Amazing...

It looks like Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares isn’t just about the restaurant anymore. According to The Daily Mirror, the Kitchen Nightmares’ star and executive producer has added a number of irrelevant questions to the Kitchen Nightmares contestant application. How much a contestant weighs, as well as their height, eye and hair color are just a few of the questions that have been added. But my favorites of all of them are these:

• Have you ever had a restraining order filed against you?
• Does your family have a history of depression?
• Are you easily upset?

Actually, the one regarding a history of depression seems to be fair.

A friend of mine had filled out an application for Chef Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen (as a joke) and told me that they had similar questions on the application he filled out, which he thought was strange. Considering that Kitchen Nightmare’s is supposed to be focused on the restaurants and not the contestants, asking such personal questions doesn’t seem right.

Moreover, Chef Gordon Ramsay should be focused more on cleaning up his muddied image instead of adding to his laundry list of drama and evil doings.

Are those questions even legal? But then again, does he really care?

Gordon Ramsay is being sued by 4 different entities!

Looks like the Gordon Ramsay Empire is officially taking another hit. Back in December, Duco, Ltd., a New Zealand promotions company, filed a law suit against Kitchen Nightmares Gordon Ramsay for failure to meet contractual agreements with Duco after charging them $100,000 per appearance for three charity events.

Well, it looks like Duco is moving forward with the legal proceedings and suing Gordon Ramsay for more than $2,000,000 in damages. Ramsay had committed to participating in three charity dinners in June 2010, but postponed the appearances until October 2010, after his mother allegedly suffered a heart attack. He then cancelled the October dates to attend to other business matters in the UK.

According to the New Zealand Herald, Duco Events director David Higgins said the cancellations meant approximately 1600 tickets had been refunded. He goes on to say:

"He's effectively cancelled four events and mucked around a whole lot of people including, obviously, me, a charity recipient, the paying public, sponsors, the broadcaster, caused reputational damage and just generally wreaked havoc."

As we had previously reported last December, Gordon Ramsay was fighting three different law suits, of which Duco was one, but also included another filed by Ramsay’s father-in-law and another by Daniello Carting Co.. However, we failed to include a more recent suit filed by Ramsay’s former accountant, Sara Stewart, who is alleging sexual discrimination.

Can’t wait to see who else hops on the Gordon Ramsay law suit bandwagon! Run Gordo, run!

Eric, I agree with you 180%. However, Gordon Ramsay’s not going to change. Ramsay gets paid to be an asshole. The only way we can ever get him to shut up is by boycotting any media that’s tied to him.

But then, what would I have to write about? Top Chef and Michelle Obama (the Fast Food Super Hero) can only be amusing for so long…

Fox Network's Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen star, Gordon Ramsay, finally addresses the rumors regarding his facial swelling back in December. Rumors that the celebrity chef had undergone cosmetic surgery have been abundant.
